Responsive, bi-lingual microsite for Uber


With the new HTC 10 launch, the brand collaborated with the global ride-hailing company Uber, to give HTC consumers free rides in the three countries of UAE, KSA and Egypt. The promotion included 8 devices in beginning, however, the promotion was to continue for two years, therefore more devices were expected to be added within the same program.


One key challenge here was to make sure only HTC consumers utilize this promotion, and that’s where the HAWKS came in. We proposed to build a microsite, that would be hosted on the The microsite would be a consumer friendly platform where HTC users can unlock their unique promotional code. The site was meant to be bi-lingual and responsive.


Once a user arrives on the platform, they’re required to enter a few simple details, like Name, Mobile number, Email address, Country of Residence and one key requirement that gives out a special promo code. This requirement was the device’s unique IMEI number. Through this 15 digit code, the system was designed t recognize which device is being registered, and give out the promo code depending on the country of the user. The same promo code, along with details on how the avail the offer, would then be sent to the user as email.


There was also a backend panel where the administrator could add or remove devices, see registration so far (divided by device id, country, date of registration) and export all data for other purposes.


Social Media posts, Web banners, Outdoor signages as well as from an in-the-box pamphlet generated traffic to the microsite.
